Forum Sentry is designed for centralizing identity management at the gateway to combine all identity stores into a centrally managed, centrally enforced, and centrally monitored solution. Identity Management, Access Control, and Federation solutions are made possible with the extensive number of native integrations with existing Identity Systems. Access Control is provided at granular levels which can be configured at the network level, the virtual directory level, and all the way down to the WSDL operation message level. Through a simplified re-usable access control policies design, applying a consistent access control solution across the the transaction paradigms is simply a point-and-click exercise. Identity desicions are accelerated through intelligent caching that reduces the network conjestion, minimizes network access to the policy stores, and provides enterprise scalability for the identity component of a SOA deployment.
