Rick White  Chairman
As Chairman of the Board, Mr. White brings nearly two decades of industry startup experience to the company. Mr. White also serves as an associate partner in a New York-based venture firm and is general partner in Ra Enterprises, a private holding company specializing in developing start-up companies. For example, Ra developed an entertainment company, which has several industry awards to its credit including two Grammyfs, and a nomination for an Academy Award. Another example includes a new arms company that has developed a homeland security training program for law enforcement that has grown from zero to twenty-two instructors in less than a year. It is considered one of the fastest growing companies in its industry.

Prior to Forum Systems, Mr. White was co-founder of Phobos Corporation, which sold for over $200 million. Other ventures co-founded by Mr. White have sold for close to half billion dollars.


David M. Mock  Principal
Mr. Mock co-founded the GMS/GMG Partners with Mr. Gfoeller in 1997 and has served as a general partner of the Partnership since then. Prior to joining the General Partner, Mock was a private investor pursuing an investment strategy similar to that of the Partnership. Dave has been a co-founder of approximately 20 companies since 1980, a number of which became public entities. Mock has extensive operations and venture capital investment experience with respect to technology companies. He began his career as an early-stage investor and principal in 1980. Mr. Mock is a director or board advisor to Alloptic, Forum Systems, Captus, Flanders Corporation and Realm Systems. He also served on the board of Phobos Corporation which was acquired by Sonic Wall in November 2000. In addition to his professional responsibilities, Mock is actively involved with several nature conservancy and environmental protection organizations focused on the American West. Mr. Mock holds a B.S, in Accounting from the University of Utah (1976).


Joachim Gfoeller, Jr.  Principal
Mr. Gfoeller co-founded GMS/GMG Partners with Mr. Mock in 1997 and has served as its Managing General Partner since then. Prior to GMS/GMG Partners, Gfoeller was one of the founding partners of Stolberg Partners, a New York based $70 million buyout fund established in 1993. At Stolberg Partners, Gfoeller had extensive experience investing in the private equity market, particularly in the manufacturing and distribution industries. Prior to establishing Stolberg Partners, Gfoeller served as a vice president of the money management firm Weiss, Peck & Greer (1988-1993) and as a partner of its buy out group (1992-1993). While at Stolberg Partners and Weiss, Peck & Greer, Gfoeller was responsible for generating private equity deal flow through his extensive network in the Midwest, the South and the East Coast and Gfoeller involved in all phases of the private equity investment process from finding investment opportunities, conducting due diligence, making investments to creating exit strategies.

From 1983 to 1986, Gfoeller was with the First National Bank of Boston as a credit officer and workout specialist with troubled companies in the United States and Latin America. Mr. Gfoeller is a Director or Board advisor to AMO, IntelliSpace, Forum Systems, Alloptic, 5 X 5 and Inno Desk. He also sat on the Board of Directors of Storage Apps prior to the Acquisition by Hewlett Packard. He speaks Spanish, Portuguese and German. In addition to his professional responsibilities, Mr. Gfoeller is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and is an active supporter of passenger and commuter rail advocacy groups. Mr. Gfoeller holds a B.A., magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, in International Studies from The Ohio State University (1981), a M.A., with honors, Economics/Latin American Studies from The Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (1983) and an MBA, Finance from the Wharton School at The University of Pennsylvania (1988).
